Item Details.
Of ovoid body, light brown pottery, short flaring rim decorated in black slip, and pointed base; the central black painted decoration added in modern times.
Simple storage jars such as these were often decorated only on their upper part, as the body of the vessel was hidden by the pot stand or rack in which the jar stood.

Provenance: Private collection, Switzerland. with Galerie Nefer AG, Zurich, 2001. with Galerie Cybele, Paris (accompanied by a 2004 French passport), acquired from the above 15 October 2001. Private collection, Rotterdam, acquired from the above 29 December 2021.
