Item Details.
The ibis-headed god standing, in mummified form. Back pillar and smooth surface. Excellent carved details.
The sacred Ibis was a white bird with black on its head, neck and the tips of the wing pinions. It attained special significance because it was regarded as the incarnation of the Egyptian god Thoth.

Provenance: UK private collection prior to 2000.
