Item Details.
In the form of a right leg, well-modelled, with a tapering thigh, bulging calf and pronounced knee details, wearing a black pointed-toe boot (endromis), with crossing laces, a band of incised ovolo decoration painted in black along its upper edge, dots below and six large rosettes fillers. Short cylindrical neck and a disk rim, lotus decoration incised encircling the shoulder. Exquisite.

Provenance: M. Sebillau collection, acquired ca. 1960. with J.-P. Mariaud de Serres, Paris, May 2007. with Royal-Athena Galleries, New York. Property from a Princely Collection, acquired from the above in 2008.
