Item Details.
Crystal cylinder seal bearing a frieze of a standing griffin-demon (an ancient sage in bird-guise), a kneeling figure holding the winged sun (symbol of Shamash) and flanked by two human headed lions holding sun disks.

Provenance: Private British collection, Mr. A. S. S., acquired by his father in the 1980s.
