Item Details.
Amulet in hematite representing on one side the Good Demon Pazuzu, that protects humans, especially women in childbirth, homes and children against the other demons. Such amulets were made of bronze, stone, faience, terracotta and even in precious stones and were worn by many during the Second and First millennium B.C.

Provenance: ex. Collection Mr.A.S., acquired prior to 1990.
