Item Details.
Wearing the horned sun-disk crown with a frontal Uraeus, elongated snout, engraved eyes and details. The ventral fins connect to an integrally cast sled-shaped base. Suspension loop at the top.
The oxyrhynchus fish helped Isis to find the dismembered Osiris in the Nile and thus became the patron and supporter of the revival in the afterlife.

Provenance: ex. property of a Sussex UK teacher, ex. collection of L.H. Staffordshire, UK. prior to 1990.
