Standing and facing forward, a sash worn diagonally across the torso, his right arm raised holding a pruning hook and his left hand clenching a plate with grapes covered by vine leaves, his elongated body forming a column tapering at the end with nicely carved feet.

Provenance: From the collection of an explorer-navigator from the beginning of the 20th century. Acquired on the Swiss art market, circa 2008. Private collection. This lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate no.11318-189891. Literature: Cf.
