Item Details.
Finely carved in low relief with a hieroglyph of a kneeling figure with arms raised, traces of red and turquoise colouring still in place. Exquisite details.

The fragment comes from the middle of a text and is therefore unlikely to represent the god Shu but rather the hieroglyph heh, meaning millions.

Provenance: with Jonathan Mankowitz. Jeremy Mason Collection, London, acquired from the above in the 1980s.
