Item Details.
Deeply carved with a scene of two workers carrying sacks on their backs and offerings in their raised hands, with the second worker holding a large domed perfume cone. Traces of red and white pigment. Exquisite details.

Provenance: Jacques Schotte (1928-2007) collection, Belgium, acquired from the above 18 October 1987; probably acquired from Galerie Heidi Vollmoeller, Zurich, 13 September 1963 and accompanied by a letter from her probably relating to this piece. Collection of Jacques Schotte (1928-2007), Ghent; Bonhams, London, 29 April 2009, lot 165. Property from a Princely Collection, acquired from the above sale.
