Item Details.
Excellent details, standing on a trapezoidal foot-stool and holding the crook and flail, wearing a braided beard and the atef-crown with plumes, fine facial details.
These bronze figures were typically created as votive offerings or for use in religious rituals. They were often depicted with symbolic elements such as a crook and flail, which represented Osiris' power and authority as the ruler of the underworld.

Provenance: Acquired on the German art market, 1989-1995. With The Museum Gallery, 19 Bury Place, London, WC1, UK, 1998-2003. Property of a London based academic, 2003-present.
