Item Details.
Decorated in black slip with a racing chariot upon which stands the figure of Athena in full panoply, her gender characterisation conveyed through the use of white added colour to indicate the goddess's fair complexion. Exquisite.

Provenance: The collection of the late Sir Clinton Charles Donald Cory, 5th Baronet of Coryton who acquired from Sotheby's, 17 May 1983.

Attribution verified by accredited archaeologist, specialist in Ancient Mediterranean Ceramics and Numismatics.
