Item Details.
Finely modelled small figure of a priest, kneeling naked, his arms resting on his legs, wearing tight-fitting cap and with nice facial details.

Provenance: Private collection of a lady, MA, formerly based in Cleveland; on loan to the Cleveland Museum of Art in 1920 (incoming loan stickers on reverse of bases reading: '2626.20 and 2627.20'). Private collection, MA, acquired from an estate sale of the above ca. 2017-2018. Literature: cf. Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, acc. no. 04.2.422.
