Item Details.
Hands crossed in front of chest holding pick and hoe, seed basket over shoulder, wearing tripartite wig and false beard. Three horizontal lines of hieroglyphic inscription on lower body: “The Illuminated, the Osiris, Priest of (?), Ta-Menech (ref: Ranke 1 p357, no 11 tA-mnx), born to Ta-Hor-Sw”; plinth base and plain back pillar to reverse.

Provenance: From a private Gloucestershire estate, previously private Virginia (USA) collection, acquired from the Canadian trade in 2020 and previously Belgian collection, acquired from Nefer Ancient Art acquired before 1983.
