Item Details.
Finely carved in high relief with Horus is in the centre flanked by his mother Isis on his right and his aunt Nephthys on his left.
Isis, Horus and Nephthys are some of the main protagonists in the Osiris myth that sees his murder and revival and the birth and avenge of his son Horus. According to this myth the sisters Isis and Nepthys cared for the body of Osiris and later protected Horus as a young child.

Provenance: French private collection Mr. B., acquired from Gallery “A la Reine Margot” in Paris, Quai Conti in 1979.
