Item Details.
The hero depicted nude in the typical combat pose, the club and the lion skin now missing.

Provenance: Professor Dr. Ernst Zweymuller Collection, Vienna, acquired in London in 1974. Prof. Prim. Dr. Ernst Zweymüller, a famous Austrian heart specialist, collected over 400 antiquities in over 50 years. He bought mostly on the art market in Germany, Britain, Austria and Jerusalem. Many pieces in his collection, especially with the findspot Carnuntum, are published in archaeological magazines.
