Item Details.
Painted on the outside in brown and cream slip with encircling lines, waves and criss-cross patterns in black and red slip. The Urartu, a powerful Armenian kingdom in the 9th and 8th centuries B.C., were possibly descendants of the Hurrians and produced some very decorative pottery.

Provenance: Private UK collection, acquired at an English auction.
