Item Details.
All three in the shape of leaping frogs, one inscribed in Aramaic with “ sh - k - l “ or shekel. Extremely rare.
11.4 grms - 9.3 grms. - 3.7 grms. respectively.

Shekel: ancient units of weight and currency. The first known usage is from Mesopotamia around 3000 B.C. The shekel was commonly used among Semitic peoples, Moabites, Edomites, Canaanites, Phoenicians etc., the latter as coinage as well as for a unit of weight.

Provenance:ex. Collection Mr. A. C., Germany, acquired prior to 2000.
