Rectangular sectioned hilt with oval encircling ribbing, disk pommel with two bearded heads on either side, the back of the heads in the form of the foreparts of lions, the guard is rectangular on each side of the blade with a couchant lion on either side facing the blade. Interestingly, this sword has areas of the usual iron rust while other areas are of excellent condition.
Material : Iron Culture : Luristan, c. 1000 B.C. Condition : Some rust, otherwise complete and intact
